Working at the same local high school, they connected over their passion for working with youth and their zest for life. They were friends first, but after Bereket switched schools, they dated and then got married in March 2023. Now, they are ready to grow their family through adoption!
Bereket and Elizabeth are truly best friends and have a strong sense of mutual companionship. Many of their interests are the same, such as working out, cooking, and traveling. New Orleans is their favorite city to visit. It’s where they were engaged, and they even named their dog “Nola” after the city! Spending time with loved ones is important to Bereket and Elizabeth. Their extended families are large and diverse, and come from all over. Nothing brings them greater joy than hosting their close friends and family, and spending quality time together.
