We are so excited to introduce you to this amazing, home study approved (and certified to adopt) Purl Family, and Arizona adoptive family: Katie and Matt! They met in college while in a group project and have been together ever since. 16 years of marriage has provided them with a strong foundation as a couple and has prepared them to expand their family and include a little one via adoption!
These two are the perfect compliment to one another with Katie’s sense of adventure and Matt’s calm demeanor, making their marriage fun and providing stability. They love traveling, whether it’s to a sandy beach or a bustling city. Whenever they travel, they bring some aspect of the culture home with them. After visiting Italy they learned to make homemade pizza and pasta and after a recent trip to Hawaii they are in search of the best “plate lunch” in the lower 48 states! Katie and Matt also enjoy exploring their home state of Arizona with quick day trips from Phoenix to enjoy fall leaves, see snow, and explore the natural beauty the state has to offer. When at home they enjoy relaxing in the pool, snuggling with their English Bulldog, and cooking for friends and family. According to Katie, Matt is a devoted and caring husband. She can’t wait for him to be a father because she knows he’ll be the BEST dad! In Matt’s words, Katie is smart and intuitive with a great sense of humor. He feels so lucky to be married to her, and knows she’ll be an excellent mother. Katie and Matt are beyond excited to be adopting, and can’t wait to share their love with a child through adoption!
