We are so excited to introduce you to a couple who have walked the journey of adoption before with their eldest son, Mateo, and who are a new home study approved Purl Family! Enrique, Emily and Mateo (who is 3.5 years old) live in a beautifully diverse community in Southern California, and are thrilled to grow their family through adoption again. This family is bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English at home, love their hometown for its gorgeous beaches, mountains and sunny weather year round, and share the love of food and cooking! Enrique and Emily met in 2008 and have been inseparable ever since. They were married in Enrique’s home country, Honduras, in 2011 surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Enrique and Emily describe their best days as being spent together as a family and exploring new places or sharing sweet moments at home with their little family. Mateo loves building forts, dinosaurs and snuggling and reading books before bed. Mateo is excited about becoming a big brother! This family has a beautiful open adoption with some of Mateo’s biological family members. They have been dreaming of growing their family through adoption and cannot wait to love their future child and his or her birth family!
